# How to Generate Alternative Translations

## When using the Text Translator or Document Editor, you can view alternative translations to see different phrasing for the material being translated. If there are versions you prefer, you can approve these for future reference.

### **1. Once you’ve translated a passage, click on the Alternative Translations icon**

### **2. Double Click the word you’d like an alternative translation for.**

You can also highlight a few words to view alternative translations for a full or partial phrase. This opens a section on the right with different translations for the selected word

### **3. Options for alternative translations will appear on the side.**

Click *Apply* to use the provided alternative translation instead of the original one.

### **4. Quality Analysis Feedback**

Use the “like” and “dislike” buttons to indicate preferred translations to then send the alternative options provided for quality analysis.

### **\*\*Document Editor**

Double click a single word or highlight a selection of words and click “See alternatives”. This opens a panel on the right with alternative options. Select “Apply” to use an alternative.
